- I have been in love with clay since 1988, when I took an evening class with studio potter Beatrice Landolt in Hopewell, New Jersey. Since retiring from a nursing career my twin passions of gardening and pottery have taken over my life. My family lived on a houseboat in early childhood, and my life has been involved with the sea, as a sailor, scuba diver, and canoeist ever since. My garden and themes from the sea are enduring components of my work.
